Mellanie and Zachary tied the knot during their North Tampa Crystal Ballroom wedding in Tampa, Florida. An indoor venue, the two had a glamorous ceremony and reception space to state their vows, share a first kiss, and dance the night away with friends and family!

Reconnecting After School

My couple’s story began back in school when they first met, but it wasn’t until later after reconnecting online that they realized how much they had in common, front heir love of the Tampa Bay Lightning, to their silly personalities, and everything in between. Falling in love with Zach’s nurturing soul, Mell explains that his dedication to their relationship, even driving from Florida to Arizona just to see her, makes her feel loved each and every day. For Zach, the way that Mell supports him through the ups and downs through life is what he loves most. Through moving with him to different states in pursuit of better opportunities to taking the time to say “I love you” every day, she makes a point to show her love.

After having moved to South Carolina, Zach knew that as they began to settle in and build a home together, he also wanted for their forever to begin as well. Planning out his proposal, he surprised Mell with inviting her mom and sister into town to share in the beautiful moment to come. After the excitement of her family arriving unexpectedly, Zach took the group to the lock wall at Lake Murray Dam, where he gave her a special lock that she turned over to find “Will you marry me?” written on it. Completely in shock, Mell looked back at Zach to find him down on one knee with a ring in his hand. Of course, Mell said “yes!”

Glamorous love definitely defines Mell and Zach’s wedding day. Through a combination of glittery decor, gemstone chandeliers, and bold pops of purples, the two created a glamorous wedding day color scheme in their indoor venue. Arriving a bit early, we were excited to see Paige, a past bride of ours and Zach’s sister, pulling up with Mell’s details – the dress, shoes, and all the bling! Starting with the details, we soon finished as Mell arrived and began capturing her getting ready photos, along with Zach’s as well once he arrived too. One of my favorite moments from the day had to be a sweet father daughter first look where we blindfolded dad so he couldn’t see his daughter until the very moment they were in place. Tears came pouring down both Mell and her father’s face, along with ours in embracing the beautiful moment.

Their indoor ceremony took place in their ballroom space, which would later be flipped during cocktail hour. Gracing the front of the long aisle, two large columns stood with beautiful floral arrangements. As our bridal party lined up, we prepared for the ceremony to begin!

Seeing Mell for the first time down the aisle was absolutely captivating for everyone, but of course most especially Zach. Holding back the tears, he shook her father’s hand and welcomed her to stand with them as they began their forever together. Sharing personal vows, filled with sentimental moments from their time together, along with promises they would keep to one another, it was incredible to be able to capture such an incredible moment int heir lives. After sharing a first kiss and sealing the deal, the procession back down the aisle began before everyone circled back for formal portraits.

Family and bridal party photos were so much fun to capture, especially since we already knew so many important people in the lineup! Moving from their ceremony space in the room to their reception, we made use of the purple uplighting in the backdrop to create another beautiful style to their newlywed imagery.

After formal portraits, our sweethearts reception entrance began with introductions, formal dances, and toasts. Dining, dancing, and a sparkler send off concluded our night as we said goodbye to our sweethearts with a final hug.
