The Proposal
Michael proposed after we finished our dinner at Rocca in Tampa Heights. I thought he was being a little strange earlier in the night as he was following me around the house as I got ready, asked if we should Uber to dinner (it was a Thursday?!), and then brought up ordering champagne prior to us getting to the restaurant. However, none of this clicked with me as we had discussed ring shopping prior to him proposing and I was still under the impression he hadn’t spoken with my parents yet. Instead, he had spoke with my parents and he picked up the original ring his Dad proposed to his Mom, so he was actually ready to go. We finished our very nice dinner and I thought maybe we should just go and grab some drive thru Ice Cream at Bo’s. He convinced me instead to order dessert there and after it was delivered, he started saying some very kind things. To this, I asked “Is this happening now?!” as it dawned on me that he was proposing. He said “Yes, if that’s okay?” and I practically screamed “Of course, please continue!” He proposed, I accepted and we did get that bottle of champagne after all.
Wedding Day Vision
Our vision was classic and romantic. We wanted the venue to be the main star of decorations and have flowers and candles to soften the marble, art deco style.
