Corinne and Brandon tied the knot in historic downtown St. Augustine during their wedding at The White Room. The two envisioned a beautiful and romantic day. From deep hues of navy tuxes on the groom’s party and ivory lace on our sweet bride’s dress, it created a romantic and elegant vibe.
How They Met
We met in 2009. I had been going to school up north, but I was back home in Alachua, Florida for the summer. He was going to school in Gainesville, Florida. The summer of 2009 we were both working part time at the local Pizza Hut. He was a delivery driver and I was a waitress. We got to know each other while working together, but we realized it could be something more when he was driving me to the 4th of July Fireworks. He was dropping me off since parking would have been a nightmare. Parking would have been a nightmare, but so was traffic. We got stuck in traffic together and had some really good conversations, and that was the real beginning of our story.
What They Love Most About One Another
Brandon about Corinne: “Everything! In this moment I love her attention to detail on life and your punctual productivity! I love how family oriented she is. How loving, caring, and supportive she is.”
Corinne about Brandon: His passion for life and life experiences. He’s also an excellent driver! And generally pretty talented at everything
The Proposal
After one great summer, we couldn’t let go of each other. Even though I went to school in Rhode Island and he went to school in Florida, we decided we were worth the wait for each other. We stayed together through 3 more years of school, most of the time being long distance including a semester of study abroad, and then I landed a great career opportunity in 2012. I moved to Boston, and he moved with me! He hated it. He moved back to Florida and started on a second degree. I kept working and he kept schooling, and we kept loving each other. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2013, and he kicked cancer’s ass, but it slowed down his schooling. He finished school and I took a new job and we got into a disturbingly fulfilling long-distance routine of flights and long weekends together. One day, we decided it was time to see each other more, and that love is one of the best things about life, and we deserved to make it a priority. He proposed in September 2016, and we moved into an apartment together in Jacksonville Florida in November 2016. He proposed in Jacksonville Florida, at Painting with a Twist!
