Erin and Matt tied the knot at Tanner Hall in Winter Garden, Florida. The couple are avid Star Wars fans and had their whole wedding themed around the galactic franchise. With Star Wars characters joining the couple at the altar and during their first dance, Erin and Matt had a unique wedding to remember. After a full night of dancing, the night ended with a light saber send off!
The Proposal
Matt worked with Erin’s sister Caitlyn to plan a cosplay photoshoot in their backyard. Since Erin’s sister does most of her cosplay photoshoots, she didn’t think anything of it. They took photos in Bastila Shan and Darth Revan. Then they changed into Erin’s Jawa and Matt’s Storm Trooper. And last, they changed into their Shadow Scout costumes. When they were taking photos in the Shadow Scouts, Erin’s sister had her pose in a way where her back was to Matt. When Erin turned around, he was down on his knee. Matt and Erin had been planning a vacation to the mountains in Tennessee, so he made sure to propose a few days before they left.
Wedding Day Vision
The color palette was Sage Green and Dusty Blue. Star Wars was the biggest theme of the wedding. The table names were named after Star Wars planets instead of numbers. The cake had Star Wars ribbon around it and a Star Wars topper. Their wedding invites and wedding favors were Star Wars themed. Erin’s engagement ring is Star Wars themed and so are their wedding rings. Neither Matt nor Erin are very big on the whole huge/grand wedding, so in comparison to quite a few weddings they’ve attended, theirs was pretty chill. Overall the couple’s vision is to be married at the end of the day and have a good time doing it!
