Paradise Cove Wedding

Kelly and George tied the knot during their Paradise Cove wedding. Envisioning an outdoor beachy wedding, themed with colors of blush and navy, the two were excited to share their day with a mix of friends and family from across the country.

Common Interests

Game of Thrones, the common bond that opened the door to a flowing conversation. Having just moved back to Orlando, Kelly was invited out by her friends to watch football at their friend’s house, which just so happen to be George. Walking in, George was completely taken by Kelly and after finding out that they shared so many mutual interests, i.e. Game of Thrones, and sports, and so much more, the two exchanged numbers and soon dating ensued.

Game of Thrones Proposal

When ready to propose, George brought Kelly to Wild Florida’s sloth encounter hoping to have one of the furry little guys hand her the ring. Well, plan B soon kicked in when he couldn’t get permission due to the expense of the ring and possible eating by the sloths. Afterwards, George brought Kelly to the local beach and a nice dinner out afterwards. Of course, he knew that while his first idea didn’t work, his second idea would when they returned home. Bringing back what they first bonded over, Game of Thrones, George dressed up as Jon Snow and put on the show’s theme song. Hearing the son playing, Kelly was completely surprised to see George appear in full cosplay and bending down to one knee asked if she would be his Khaleesi. Of course, Kelly said, “yes!”

Wedding Day at Paradise Cove

Their wedding day was filled with the same silliness and love since the date they met and their proposal day. With Kelly and George making great timing upon our arrival, we jumped right into both of them getting ready. Kelly situated in the bridal suite and George with his guys outside, we captured their getting ready portraits and of course fun time with their individual groups. Wanting to take part in cocktail hour, Kelly and George opted to do a first look and formal portraits prior to the ceremony. Lucking out with a very shaded dock, we took George out first to await Kelly walking down to him. Definitely one of my favorite moments of the day was seeing the two hold back tears as they finally set eyes upon one another.

Utilizing the backdrop of a few tropical palms, we captured our couple’s formal portraits with their family and bridal party, before moving everyone inside to prepare for guests arrival. Situated along the lake, George made a grand entrance by speedboat which definitely “wow’d” their guests. Kelly of course though stole the show as soon as she came down the aisle. Between the glimmering light behind her and her stunning aura walking down, she was truly captivating. Joining the two together, Lon preached a beautiful sermon about the importance of love and marriage. Sharing a first kiss to seal the deal, the two were officially wed!

During cocktail hour, we did steal our newlyweds away for just a few beach pictures since the sun had finally began to set. Reception entrances, a first dance, and toasts – many of which mentioned the Game of Thrones, made for a great opening to our couple’s wedding reception. Into the night we captured our group dancing, singing, and definitely getting their rhythm going on the dance floor before a last dance ended the night.
