Tiffany and Patrick met me out in the heart of downtown Winter Garden, their original hometown where they grew up and first met one another. A special place, the two visit the downtown area often for dates and family outings.
It is crazy to think how far love can span. Over 29 years ago, Tiffany and Patrick first me at Calvary Christian School in their hometown of Winter Garden. Patrick was in 7th grade and Tiffany was in 9th. They became friends through their tight knit community, but lost touch after senior year. Both moved out of state as their lives took different directions, but both also eventually found themselves back near where they had first met.
The magic of social media brought them back together when they became Facebook friends in 2015 after running into each other while trick-or-treating with their kids on Halloween. About a year later, when they were both in a time of their lives to date again, Patrick messaged Tiffany about having a formal date, which led to many, many more! And as Tiffany explains, “has been magic ever since.”
For Tiffany, Patrick is everything she wanted and needed in a partner from the love he shares with both of their sets of children, and the qualities that complete him including how caring and patient he is. For Patrick, the way Tiffany’s smile radiates takes him back and reminds him of the younger years of the beautiful girl he first met back in school and the stunning woman she is now. As Patrick explains, “she is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I love her with all my heart.”
During a special night out in downtown Winter Garden on a date alone with out their kiddos, for New Year’s Eve, Patrick and Tiffany planned to “redo” their first date from getting dressed up to having a wonderful dinner at one of the restaurants on Plant Street. At around 11:50 PM, Patrick asked Tiffany to go outside of the bar for some fresh air before the ball dropped. A little confused, but along for the journey, Tiffany took Patrick’s hand and followed him to the gazebo in the middle of the park. Watching the crowd dressed in their New Year’s Even attire and every one ready to celebrate, Tiffany turned to Patrick to tell him “happy New Year” when she realized he was down on one knee with a ring they had picked out months prior in his hand. Tears in her eyes, Patrick held her hand and said, “make me the happiest man alive, please, will you marry me?” Of course Tiffany said yes, and the two shared their first kiss as fiancés going into the New Year!
Looking forward to our team capturing these two tie the knot at Lakeside Inn in Mount Dora this March!
