You may remember the Maggards from Joe and Christie’s beautiful wedding at Timacuan Golf Club several months back. My sweet family reached out to me about capturing their family portraits before they left Florida for Joe who was going back to school to become a pharmacist. I was so incredibly overjoyed when receiving Christie’s call and couldn’t wait for the opportunity to see the whole family again.
The two wanted a session that represented Florida, so we opted for a local orange grove. Emma and Jake were such a blast to photograph. The two did a great job at staying still for a moment with mommy and daddy before taking off into the grove to pick flowers and oranges, and chase one another.
With little ones, sessions are more ‘go with the flow,’ as you want to ensure to keep a positive, upbeat, and very happy attitude. For this session, I wanted to show a little more ‘behind the scenes’ photos too, as all of my families always receive a few blooper shots to take home.
Truly my favorite photos of our whole session are the two bloopers of Emma and Jake wanting to be the center of attention, while mommy an daddy were trying to share a quick kiss. It is the perfect representation of how a couple grows into a family and that while not every moment may be perfect, they are all perfectly imperfect.
Looking forward to seeing these four the next time they are in town!
