Ashlyn & Caleb's Garden Club of Lake City Wedding- Captured by Jacob

Ashlyn and Caleb tied the knot during their Woman’s Garden Club wedding in Lake City, Florida. Getting ready at the historic Blanche and celebrating their ceremony and reception at the Garden Club made for a gorgeous day!

How They Met

We met each other through mutual friends in high school. He was in the grade above me and lived in a town 45 minutes away. Two years after our initial introductions we became best-friends and have been inseparable ever since.

What They Love Most

Ashlyn about Caleb: The thing I love the most about Caleb is how extra he is when it comes to date nights. He will create the most extravagant things and nothing will ever be too big of an idea just to put a smile on my face.

Caleb About Ashlyn: The thing I love the most about Ashlyn is how selfless she is. She constantly puts other people before her and wants to make sure everyone is happy before she considers herself. Another thing I love about her is how spontaneous she is, whether it is midnight trips to get gas station slushees or spontaneous adventures to explore Idaho when we lived there she is always up to an adventure.

The Proposal

The entire week of the proposal all I could do is stare at her Tiffany and co ring and imagine it on her finger. I wanted to capture the proposal professionally so she could always look back and remember that afternoon. I told her I wanted to get some professional pictures done since we did not have any good pictures together to play off the fact that I wanted a photographer there. I was frantic and stressed trying to get everything in place to ask the big question. Everything was worth it when I got down on one knee and asked her to be my wife.

What I thought was a regular photography session turned into the best afternoon and the best surprise I could have ever dreamed it could be. We were taking pictures in front of his best-friends lake house. When the sun started to set Caleb led me down to the candle lit dock over the water and got on knee and asked me to marry him. It was the best surprise and the most romantic thing I have ever seen. It is a night I will never forget!
