Museum Fine Arts of St Pete Wedding

Dinara and Rick tied the knot during their Museum of Fine Arts St Pete wedding in St Pete, Florida. A more contemporary wedding, I loved how modern elements their wedding day held from Dinara’s tea length dress to having their wedding day at an art museum.

It felt like we knew each other for years…

Falling in love over two years ago, the two met by chance at a mutual friend’s birthday party. While attending the birthday part at a local brewery in St Pete, they happened to strike up a conversation and immediately connected over their many hared interests. As Dinara reminisces, if felt “like we’ve known each other for years.” Following the one fateful night, the two met up for an official first date the following weekend and have been together ever since.

Rick’s kind-hearted, loving, and optimistic personality won Dinara’s heart over. As she explains, ‘he always brings out the best in me.” For Rick, he also loves how caring and warm Dinara is, along with her fun personality, and how she helps him grown both “personally and emotionally.” Encouraging one another to continue to strive to be the best they can be, they value each others happiness individually and as partners.

The Proposal

Flashback to Rick’s proposal to Dinara, he took her out to the restaurant where they had their very first date. A splendid evening out, the two headed home after where Rick had a surprise for Dinara. Handing her an album of photos from memories they had shared, Rick proposed to Dinara that night in their home, and of course she said, “yes!”

Wedding Day at the Museum of Fine Arts of St Pete

Our couple’s wedding day felt like a dream. I had been looking forward to Dinara and Rick’s wedding for sometime now, as the venue is just to die for! While I absolutely adore our country clubs and gardens, it was a fun change to photograph our couple next to Monets and other incredible painters and sculpturists.

Arriving a bit early to Dinara’s hotel at the Hampton Inn & Suites in downtown St Pete, we began with capturing her details and a few hair and makeup shots. Adorable plaid pajama shots were a must before Dinara put on her dress. After wrapping up at the hotel, we headed off to the Museum of Fine Arts St Pete for our sweethearts first look.

Situated in downtown St Pete, the Museum of Fine Arts was founded by Margaret Acheson Stuart and was opened to the public in 1965. A treasured landmark in St Pete, the museum has evolved through offering both renaissance and contemporary art, along with having grown in size drastically from when it was first built. The grandeous front entrance has stunning columns and steps leading in, which is exactly where our couple’s first look took place.

Walking up to Rick, we could feel how excited and nervous both our bride and groom were to see one another. Embracing in a hug and a kiss, it was the perfect first look before we jumped into newlywed portraits around the front of the museum, and afterwards bringing out our couple’s family and bridal party. Back inside, my favorite part of the day began as we toured the museum taking photos of our couple against the stunning works of art.

Heading out to the Membership Garden, a Spanish style indoor garden, we prepared for our couple’s ceremony to begin. A beautiful ceremony as the sun began to set, we captured Dinara and Rick officially become Mr. and Mrs. As guests headed to cocktail hour, we stayed behind with our couple and their extended family for a few more pictures. Afterwards, we all headed over to the Conservatory for Dinara and Rick’s reception. The two-story glass conservatory turns from a stunning lobby entrance of the museum to an incredibly fabulous reception ballroom at night. Formal dances, followed by toasts, and tons of dancing filled the night before we said our goodbyes to our couple. Truly an incredible day filled with so much love!
