Abigail and Anders tied the knot during their Club Continental wedding in Jacksonville, Florida. A beautiful venue set on the shore of the St Johns River, it was truly a day to be remembered.
How They Met
We met at Bethany Covenant church in 8th grade in confirmation class together. Flash forward to December 2017, Anders reached out to reconnect and get coffee. I was out of town we couldn’t meet up, but we began talking as friends. He is in the navy so he was deployed but whenever he would pull into port or not at sea we would get to know one another better through texting. We went on our first date in September 2018 and began dating in December 2018.
The Proposal
We flew back to New Hampshire to be with family for Christmas on December 19th, a day before our first anniversary. I ended up passing out on the plane and had to be rushed to the emergency room on our layover. Thankfully I was okay but it messed up his plans for sure as he was planning to propose the next day. We ended up catching the last flight home that night and the next morning he asked for my dad’s permission. December 20th, Anders asked if I wanted to take a drive out to my favorite town, Portsmouth. Along the drive, he pulled into this pretty harbor along the ocean. There was no one there and the sun was setting. He got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. It was more perfect than I had ever imagined! We celebrated with family that night.
