Savanah and David tied the knot during their gorgeous Bakers Ranch wedding!
The Proposal
I noticed he was acting weird and secretive the week before he proposed. We know one another really well and it doesn’t take much to notice when something seems off. I remember him telling me that I should get my nails done with his cousins (basically sisters to me now) and have a relaxing day away from everything else. You could tell they wanted to tell me so badly now that I look back on it. He went to the mall with his mom prior to this and said they were just “shopping”. On August 1st, 2019, he took me out to dinner to Bonefish which was our first dinner date (I thought we were just going to dinner and then home). It started pouring right before we got out of the car to go inside and rained until our next destination, Big Olaf. We hadn’t gone to main street since we had our first kiss there years prior. I started to suspect something was up. After that, he used his gps and wouldn’t tell me where we were going or let me hold the phone in the car….I kept wondering “what is going on? Another surprise?”. Little did I know he was taking me back to SCFCS, the school where we first met, had me get out of the car and proposed to me right outside in the parking lot. It may not seem romantic, but it was everything I could’ve ever imagined. Rather than doing it in a room full of people or a random place, he put all of his thought into making this day special and brought me back to where we first me. At this point, the sun was coming through the clouds, and the rain was gone. It was the best day of my life.
Wedding Day Vision
I would really like the day to go perfectly! I know that’s what most brides want. What is most important to me, are memories between David and his Grandma Sandy. She is a very important person in his life (dancing together & just the love). I don’t want to feel rushed at all, because I become very stressed easily. Memories of my girls and I getting ready will be nice. One thing I would really like are memories made between my father and I. We are very close and I know this will be hard for him, “giving me away”. Overall, I want it to be fun, stress free, and lots of love. That’s what my ultimate vision is. Aside from the flowers, drapes, venue and the material things.
