Banyan Estate Wedding
Sherri and Michael tied the knot during their Banyan Estate wedding in Malabar, Florida. The two envisioned a day field with fun from karaoke to dancing, along with a softer theme of tons of floral, pastel blush, ivory, and gold tone colors.
How They Met
Their story began when Michael saw Sherri for the first time walk into the room at a monthly Indian River County Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Network luncheon. It was like time had stopped from that moment he saw her and he just knew she was the one. Making his way over to where Sherri sat down, he asked the person near her if they would consider moving to an “even better seat right up front.” The guest obliged and Michael was able to introduce himself to Sherri. That one luncheon opened the door for the two of them to become friends and dating soon ensued.
What They Love Most
While of course it was love at first sight, Michael also fell in love with how much Sherri cares and loves her family. He knew that one day when they time came, she would be the most amazing mother by the way she loved those around her. For Sherri, Michael’s kindness has truly captured her heart. As she explains, Michael “is the kindest person I’ve ever met.”
The Proposal
It wasn’t long for Michael to be ready to propose. Planning out a spectacular New Year’s proposal, Michael invite to Sherri to brunch on New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately his plans went a rye when he woke up sick with a fever for the first time since they had ever met. Sherri felt horrible by how terrible he was feeling and just wanted to take care of her beau. Rushing to CVS, she grabbed him some medicine and shared a quick kiss at the spot where they shared their first kiss before returning back home for him to rest up. Insisting he take it easy, Michael only agreed if Sherri would agree to go out for dinner at 5:00 PM.
As the clock ticked down, Sherri dressed up and met him right at 5:00 PM. Hopping in the car, the two drove up to the restaurant where they years ago had first met at the luncheon. Under complete reconstruction, Sherri was rather confused why Michael was stopping and asking her to follow him to her to the entrance. Pulling a key out of his pocket, he unlocked the door and went inside. Sherri was in complete shock to find a makeshift table set up where they first sat that one fateful day. Background music from their last New Year’s Eve when Sherri first told Michael she loved him played sweetly and then out of the corner of her eye, Sherri saw her sister! Michael bent down to one knee and asked for Sherri’s hand in marriage while her sister captured it all on camera!
Wedding Day
Their wedding day was filled with the love of their family and friends who came out to celebrate such a beautiful moment. Our day started off in Vero Beach at the Costa de Este hotel. Sherri surprised us with what felt like a little a magic of the girls popping confetti poppers. It was the perfect way to start off pictures! After capturing Sherri and her girls getting ready, along with details and bridal portraits, we headed off to the beautiful Banyan Estate where she would soon be seeing her soon to be hubby Michael.
Michael and his groomsmen shared a quick drink before we brought them over for suiting up and groom’s party shots in advance. After capturing Michael getting ready, Sherri’s sister surprised Michael by bringing down a gift from Sherri. She completely nailed it with a thoughtful gift of a hunting ground, but hinted what it would be at first in a tier of presents including a hunting ball cap. Michael also had a surprise for Sherri of a camera that they had wanted to get together to capture their honeymoon memories.
Taking place upstairs, their ceremony location was draped in floral from the chandeliers to the arch. A sand pouring was included with their vows and after a first kiss, guests headed off to cocktail hour while we stayed back for family formals. Moving outside for wedding party portraits, the girls were definitely troupers in their heels standing in the grass. The outdoor area surrounding the Banyan Estate was just too beautiful not to utilize from massive pine and oak tree forests to beautiful banyan trees.
Their reception activities kept guests entertained from Roeshink Entertainment playing awesome dance music, to a karaoke sing off in the lobby, a delicious ice cream bar, and even a cigar rolling station! It was a blast to photograph the guests as the circulated around enjoying all fun things to do.
Wishing my sweethearts an amazing life together and a fabulous honeymoon – cannot wait to see the pictures!
