Sumaya and Mohamed tied the knot during their Barn at Mazak Ranch wedding in Bushnell, Florida. Captured by our photographer Jacob, the two envisioned a rustic backdrop for their wedding day.

How They Met

We were set up on a blind date. She is a teacher at Sumayas school and Mohamed was her assistant coach in swimming (she was the coach). We were both so against it…. blind dates are so awkward. But we agreed to it and decided to go on the date. We met on October 20,2017….. getting married exactly a year from that date.

What They Love Most

Mohamed about Sumaya: authenticity. She is always herself around me and I love that. Also reliability. I can rely on her in any situation.

Sumaya about Mohamed: he is so accepting of everyone. You can tell from the second he opens his mouth he is the most genuine person you will ever meet.

The Proposal

Mohamed proposed to me in my living room on the day of my graduation with my masters in education. My family had flown up from Florida so they were all there to witness. It was so funny because my mom was in on it and wanted to take a picture of us and so momo kept telling me he loved me and kissing me and I thought it was so awkward that he was doing it in front of my family. 10 seconds later, i knew why.

Wedding Day Vision

Lavendar, rustic. Just a fun party for all the people we love! We had mohameds family fly in from egypt so itll be the first time our extended families are meeting.
