Amanda & Nicholas’ Celebration Engagement – Captured by Samantha

Amanda and Nicholas met me out in the heart of downtown Celebration, Florida for their Up inspired engagement.  The two live in and love the Celebration area, so it was absolutely the perfect place for their engagement session.

How They Met

We met in 2012 freshman year of high school and we were just friends.  It wasn’t until the summer of 2014 when Nicholas asked me to be his girlfriend.  Celebration is a huge key in our relationship because it was in Celebration high school where we fell in love and did everything together.  Nick was an ROTC boy and I was a choir girl.  We won junior prom together and senior homecoming king and queen.  We also were in choir together our senior year.

What They Love Most About One Another

Amanda: What I love most about Nicholas is that he would literally do anything for me because he is selfless and has such a kind heart.

Nicholas:  What I love most about Amanda is how she is a go getter and when she sets her mind to something she always finds a way to accomplish it and makes it work everytime.
The Proposal

We are huge Disney addicts.  Nick is a cast member so we spend a lot of our time in the parks and resorts.  It was our three year anniversary and we decided to stay at the Disney resort for five days.  We had everything planned out every single day from what places to eat and our fast passes.  This was the first day of our vacation and we went to Magic Kingdom.  This is one of our favorite parks because our favorite characters and movie is Beauty and the Beast Live Action and in Magic Kingdom they have the most attractions about Beauty and the Beast.  We went to see Belle and we went to Gaston’s Tavern.  We even had a reservation for the Be Our Guest restaurant.  Nick is not the best at surprises but this time he really got me.  As we went about our day he seemed to be acting a little strange and nervous and I could sense he was acting strange but I brushed it off and kept about our day.  Once we sat down at Be Our Guest we had our dinner.  Right when we were going to get our desert a server came up and gave Nicholas a plate with “Grey Stuff” on it which was what I wanted to try and Nick bent down on one knee and presented me the plate which the chef had painted on Beauty and the Beast and it said “Will you Marry Me?”.  It also had an actual class rose dome with my ring inside it.  The entire restaurant started to clap for us and I was so shocked because out of nowhere our moms appeared.  I thought it couldn’t have gotten any better but after that we took photos with the Beast and that is rare.
Best Piece of Advice for Soon To Be’s
I have always gotten the advice to not stress on the day of the wedding because even though we have this perfect image in our minds, sometimes their will be things that don’t go just as planned. Just to keep an open mind and enjoy the day because whats important is that your getting to marry the person you love so why stress about small details you will barely remember.  Just have fun and soak it all in.
