Afton & Mike's Club Lake Plantation Wedding

Afton and Mike tied the knot during their Club Lake Plantation wedding in Apopka, Florida. A beautiful day filled with love and happiness, it was such a joy to see my couple again in capturing such a special moment in their lives.

Arriving a bit early, I greeted our bride who was wrapping up with hair and makeup in the beautiful bridal suite. Starting off with Afton’s details, I utilized the beautifully redone fireplace outside to showcase the rustic resort feel of our venue. Diving in after with some cute shots of my bride with her girls in their bride’s party t’s, we wrapped up just in time as the guys were ready for their getting ready shots. Cracking open a drink and having quite a few laughs, we captured Mike and his groom’s party getting ready, along with their formal portraits, before bringing Afton back out for her formal portraits with her bride’s party.

I must say that I was in awe of the beautiful vines that seemed to crawl up the drapery on Afton and Mike’s ceremony site – absolute perfection from Orlando Flower Market. Holding back tears as Afton walked down the aisle, we captured Mike just in time to reminisce on such an emotional moment of seeing his wife for the first time on their wedding day. After “I do’s” were said and a first kiss shared, our couple headed out down the aisle for a second kiss before formals began.

Family formal portraits, followed by the bridal party, and my favorite – newlyweds! – made for a beautiful formal portrait time, while guests mingled at cocktail hour. Back inside before our reception entrance began, we grabbed one last photo of our newlyweds, but this time in their rustic ballroom.

Dancing, drinking, laughing, and a ton more dancing filled the night as we partied on with our couple. A sparkler send off with hugs and kisses goodbye made for the perfect exit.
