Danielle and Trey tied the knot during their Crosswater Hall at Nocatee Wedding in Ponte Vedra Beach. The two envisioned contemporary tuscan theme with an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception that allowed for guests to celebrate their special moment with them.
It is crazy to think back to the first time my sweethearts met, which truly began with a leap of faith. While both attending graduate school at the University of Florida, a mutual friend happened to show Danielle a picture of Trey and told her that she thought they would be a perfect match. Of course as soon as Danielle saw Trey’s smile in the picture, she know that a date was in order.
Being set up on a date is always exciting, but definitely a little nerve racking. Both Danielle and Trey were excited to meet one another though and realized shortly into their date how much they had in common. From their one date to many, many more, Danielle and Trey started falling more in love with one another each and every day.
For Danielle, Trey was more than she could ever want in a partner. As Danielle explains, “Trey has such a gentile spirit about him and yet carries an unwavering strength. It’s the most beautiful thing ever. Four years of dating and his cool, calm disposition still never ceases to amaze me. The way that Danielle “wears her emotion on her sleeve” lifts Trey up and fulfills his heart.
As their love grew deeper and deeper, Trey knew it was the right time to ask Danielle for her hand in marriage. Wanting an intimate setting for just the two of them, and after celebrating with friends and family, Trey invited Danielle to join him for a date starting with a walk through their local park. Walking hand in hand, Trey told Danielle how much he loved her, dropped to one knee, and asked her to marry him. Danielle of course said “yes!” After their proposal, Trey had another surprise in store… their close family and friends were invited to witness the proposal and came up to celebrate with the soon to be Mrs. and Mr.
Their wedding day was just as special and intimate as their proposal. You could feel the closeness and love that poured out through kisses, hugs, and well wishes from family and friends onto the couple. Danielle was absolutely radiating with excitement when we arrived to capture her getting ready. I loved how the stone fireplace and architecture of the venue created almost a Roman vibe. Her details felt delicate and beautiful as we placed them carefully on her veil before bringing her dress back in to slip into. After buttoning up, we headed outside to capture a few shots of Trey getting ready who arrived just in the nick of time for their first look.
Seeing Danielle walk down the stairs towards Trey with such excitement was my favorite moment of the day. What I loved was how the grandeur of our bride to be’s excitement, the moment of seeing one another for the first time, and large stonework of the staircase made for a moment that felt of almost like a novel. The place, the love, and our couple were all just too perfect.
From first looks to formal portraits with their wedding party, we captured a few special moments before heading back inside to hide our couple before guests arrived. Their ceremony site was located just outside the venue on the garden lawn and was flanked with evergreen bushes. White resin chairs sat patiently waiting for guests to arrive with floral draping the arch where Trey and Danielle would soon share their first kiss.
Their ceremony vows and first kiss were magic and right after walking down the aisle we headed out front to celebrate with their immediate family for family portraits. Of course my second favorite moment of the day was newlywed portraits, which followed after. I just love the time we are able to give to our couple to have a moment alone to be able to soak up and revel in officially tying the knot!
Dancing to dining and a sparker exit completed our night with our newlyweds heading off back home. Wishing these two a spectacular life together, filled with love and happiness.
