Dubsdread Ballroom Wedding

Sydney and Spencer tied the knot during their Dubsdread Ballroom wedding in Orlando, Florida. A beautiful historic venue in the heart of Orlando, it was the perfect location or their travel inspired day!

How They Met

We met initially on Bumble, a dating app. We began talking on the app but then kind of lost interest until a UF Gators football game was going on and randomly Sydney texted Spencer about it and they set up a date for the following week. We met at Guesthouse on Friday, January 13, 2017 but it was so loud we ended up walking right out and going to the bar at Firebirds and talking all night and going to get drinks at a bar next door after.

The Proposal

We got engaged on a trip to Palm Beach Gardens. We had spent the day going to brunch, golfing, getting foot massages, and laying by the pool and then after a nice dinner at Capital Grille, Spencer wanted to go for a walk but Sydney was exhausted and wanted to stay in but he convinced her to go. He kept trying to go by the water and Sydney kept seeing signs for alligators and derailing his plan changing his route until he finally stopped in front of a fountain and got down on one knee and proposed! It was a complete surprise but Spencer is convinced Sydney felt the ring in the suitcase, but she really didnt. The next day we spent celebrating with Sydney’s family and friends in South Florida.

Wedding Day Vision

The wedding is travel themed with just small travel touches and decor throughout the venue, tables are named after cities we have travelled to together and will have travel photos on each table. The colors are mostly gold and white but the groomsmen are in navy suits and bridesmaids in dusty blue dresses so some blue touches included as well. We will have a photo booth set up but the main vision of the day is just a fun party to celebrate our love and everyone having a great time!
