Dubsdread Golf Course Wedding
Darcy and John tied the knot during their Dubsdread Golf Course wedding in Orlando, Florida. Envisioning a day filled with silly surprises, the two truly revealed in finally becoming Mr. and Mrs.!
Having met through work, the two never thought that their status as colleagues would turn into romance, and one day forever love. Fast forward to their wedding day, it was incredible to be able to capture these two best friends tying the knot!
Wedding Day at Dubsdread Golf Course
Arriving a bit early, we were soon greeted by Darcy not long after arriving to capture her getting ready with her mom. The mommy-daughter moments of getting in the dress, and their adorable robe shots, was so special to be a part of. Darcy’s mom could hardly contain her excitement (and tears!) of her daughter getting married! Ahead of schedule, we wrapped up with Darcy’s getting ready time as John walked into the venue. Taking John, his son, and his father outside, we captured him putting on the final touches of his suit jacket and tie, along with helping his little guy fix his sheriff badge. As guests began to arrive, we tucked John away and prepared for our sweetheart’s ceremony to begin.
Dubsdread Golf Course Wedding Ceremony
Outside in the courtyard, a towering mossy oak lay behind the ceremony site as a backdrop for saying “I do!” Alongside the ceremony location, the bridal party came through by another beautiful tree that jetted out onto the walkway with beautiful grassy leaves hanging down – I swear its the tree right out of the Little Mermaid during the iconic “kiss the girl” moment – picture perfect!
Seeing Darcy for the first time, John’s eyes said it all in how much love he felt for her and how excited he was to see her for the first time on their wedding day. A beautiful officiating speech from their officiant, followed by a first kiss to seal the deal was, while the end, also just the start of their ceremony. Turning to guests after sharing their first kiss, a surprise guest (he must not have gotten the memo on the ceremony start time), came in swinging a light saber and challenged our couple’s love. Guests knew they were in for an awesome night when Darth Vader, that oh so special guest, surprised everyone.
Family and bridal party photos took place in front of the ceremony arch before we headed off to the golf course for nighttime newlywed photos. An evening wedding, we made use of the dramatic night sky that had hues of deep purple and blue.
Dubsdread Golf Course Wedding Reception
Back inside, guests were impatiently waiting the arrival of Darcy and John who soon came in with another surprise during their first dance – a coordinated salsa! I must say – they nailed it!
Touches of Star Wars could be seen throughout the day, from of course Darth Vader’s surprise arrival to a sign-in Millennium Falcon wood capsule. Dancing and lots of laughter filled the night before a light saber send off wished our couple goodbye!
Wishing Darcy and John a beautiful life together; may the force be with you!
