Engagement Session Planning

Bridal Tips: Engagement Sessions

With so much planning to be done for your wedding day, it is important to remember to plan for the special moments leading up to your special day as well.  For this month’s bridal tips, I wanted to focus on engagement sessions.

1. Style – think of the style you would like to have for your engagement.  Will it be more casual or dressy? Style can be displayed through the location and outfits you wear.  For my best friend Melanie’s engagement, we went with a very styled engagement at a boat dock.  Her red dress creates that “va va voom” elegant feeling along with the beauty of the water and boats in front of her and her darling fiance Alex.Rollins College Engagement

2. Theme – why not have a little fun with a themed engagement?  Jessica and Jeff love both Disney and the beach.  As a compromise, we headed out to the Disney Boardwalk to capture my two sweethearts against the lighthouse and along the beach sand.  It was the perfect way to bring their love of the the ocean and Disney together.

3. Location – pick a location that has meaning to the two of you.  For my sweethearts Morgan and Tyler, the two enjoy visiting the Nights of Lights event in St Augustine during the holiday season.  The Lightner Museum was the perfect spot for us, as the location featured the sparkly Christmas lights on every window and door.  The sentimental backdrop was absolutely perfect to bring in that holiday feeling!
