Miranda and Ryan tied the knot during their Ever After Farms wedding in Mims, Florida at the blueberry farm location. While blueberries may not have been in season, the rolling fields felt like a manicured garden of hedges and absolutely gorgeous to photograph in!

A Halloween Party at JD’s

You may remember from Miranda and Ryan’s engagement session love story, that the two met at a Halloween party just our three years ago at Ryan’s family owned restaurant called JD’s. Acquaintances before the night of the Halloween party, they had never really had a chance to talk one on one. However, at the start of the night Ryan introduced himself and by the end he told Miranda he would be taking her out on a date. Winning her over with his charm, in not so much asking for a date but letting her know it would be happening; and it did just a few days later! As Miranda reminisces, “during our first date, we had the best conversations and it was such a fun time that it turned into many more dates, and here we are at our wedding!”

Fast forward to their wedding day, I was so excited to see my sweethearts again. Keeping in touch leading up to the big day, I knew how organized both Miranda and Ryan were and how perfectly the flow of the day would go. Arriving a bit early, we were soon followed by the arrival of our bride and her girls. Jumping into photos upon their arrival, we captured Miranda and her girls out on the terrace in their adorable robes before changing into their dresses – perfect timing too as Ryan had just pulled in. While the girls were changing, we brought Ryan and his guys outside to capture their getting ready, along with formal portraits beforehand. I love being able to knock out formals of each group before, as it truly gives our newlyweds a little more time back for time alone during the more official formal portrait hour after the ceremony.

Once in their dresses, we brought our girls back out for their getting ready and to also capture their group’s formal portraits as well. One of my favorite moments of the day came during this time, when I added in an impromptu father-daughter first look. Truly Miranda’s father melted our hearts as he couldn’t hold back the tears.

With guests arriving, we hid our bride and headed back outside to prepare for the procession. Looking down while Miranda made her way to the barn doors, Ryan’s smile lit up and the tears began to flow when they opened as he saw her for the first time. It was such a beautiful moment to be able to capture.

During their ceremony, sweet vows were shared, along with rings, and of course a first kiss to seal the deal! Following their ceremony, guests headed back inside to partake in cocktail hour, while family and the bridal party stayed back for formal portraits. Using a few different spaces around the gorgeous oak, we soon ventured into the blueberry fields for newlywed portraits. While I absolutely loved our daytime newlywed portraits, some of my favorites were from when we went back outside later that night. The glamour of the tree lit up with twinkling lights was just pure perfection!

Dancing of course filled the night, along with a sparkler send off as we waived and hugged goodbye to our newlyweds!
