Fort De Soto State Park Engagement
Brittany and Taylor met our photographer Dawn out at beautiful Fort De Soto State Park. A gorgeous location that has a variety of nature and beaches, the spectacular scenery was perfection for their engagement session backdrop!
How They Met
We actually dated back in highschool for a few weeks. 12 years later we reconnected through FaceBook and Taylor asked me on a date while he was home on leave from his deployment in Cuba. We laughed the entire night. The rest is history.
Communication is Key
Our communication. Whether its about something bothering us or simply to thank one another for helping each other out when we need it. That has really helped appreciate and love one another even more to talk about everything and pick up slack for each other when needed. Seriously, communication is key!
The Proposal
March 12, 2020. Originally Taylor was going to propose this July when we went to Switzerland, but with COVID-19, he was unsure if that trip was going to get canceled. March 12 we had my family over for some drinks and Taylor thought it was the perfect time to propose while I was on the back porch learning a TikTok dance with my sister and daughter. Taylor walked outside holding our 6 month old wearing a necklace tucked inside his onesie. I pulled the necklace off and my gorgeous ring was dangling in my face and he asked if I wanted to be with him forever.
