Jaclyn & Michael’s Kraft Azalea Elopement

Kraft Azalea Elopement

Jaclyn and Michael tied the knot during during their Kraft Azalea elopement among their closest friends and family.  After beginning the wedding planning process, Jaclyn quickly realized that she wanted to elope.  What I love about elopements, especially Kraft Azalea elopements, is the extra newlywed portrait time that we always get to reserve after our couples share their “I do’s” and first kiss.

How They Met

Online dating has been an incredible alternative option to meeting in person by chance for many of my couples.  From Tinder to Plenty of Fish, I have heard so many love stories begin from swiping right.  However, for Jaclyn it wasn’t her who swiped right, but her friend Erinn who was on her dating app on her phone.  Looking through the potential matches, Erinn almost swiped left to a candidate that ‘super liked’ Jaclyn and was dressed in a Captain America t-shirt.  Jaclyn happened to look over and was immediately captivated with the humor and clearly awesome sense of style.  She told Erinn to swipe right, because she too was also a huge Captain America fan.

Swiping right on that guy – who just happened to be Michael, as I am sure you guessed – was the door that opened the conversation for the two to chat further.  From there, they met up in person and the rest is history.

While Jaclyn loved Michael’s style from the beginning, it was his laugh that she truly fell in love with.  For Michael, Jaclyn’s smile radiates his heart and is the trait he fell in love with in her.

The Proposal

Michael’s proposal, or well proposals, began about five months into their relationship when they went shopping for rings together.  Not long after, right before their anniversary, Michael proposed with the help of their friends and family overlooking the water at sunset.  Now you may be wondering – proposals with an “s” – yes plural!  After the two started planning their big day, Jaclyn realized quickly that it was just too overwhelming and not what she had envisioned.  Calling off the wedding, Jaclyn wanted to take a step back to figure out what exactly she had wanted for her big day.  Michael than planned  second proposal himself, taking Jaclyn to a local spring – a spot where he had wanted to plan their first date – and asked for her hand in marriage.

The Big Day

With a second “yes” said and the two knowing how they wanted their big day to be, Jaclyn and Michael planned out their Kraft Azalea elopement.  Key details included two of their friends as the officiants, a beautiful harpist playing music as Jaclyn walked down the aisle, and an intimate setting that only allowed for a handful of guests.  It was perfectly them!

Wishing my sweethearts a beautiful life together, filled with plenty of laughter and love!
