Courtney and Joseph met me out at beautiful Lake Louisa State Park in Lake County, Florida for their woodsy engagement. The two will be tying the knot at Hilton Melbourne Beach Oceanfront this coming June!
Taking a siesta aboard a cruise ship with their friends, Courtney and Joseph never would have thought that they would meet the love of their life. Both on vacation, they met one night while out having drinks and dancing at one of the ship’s nightclubs on deck. Dancing the night away and keeping in touch, they met back up in Cocoa after their vacation and continued to hit it off.
Both Courtney and Joseph love each other’s personality the most. A perfect match, their comical nature and sense of adventure was aligned from the beginning.
An avid horseback rider growing up, Courtney had always dreamed to go riding in the water. Joseph also grew up riding horses, and knowing Courtney’s passion for equine and dream to ride a horse in the water, knew he would have to incorporate her bucket list item into his proposal. Planning a vacation to Sarasota for rest and relaxation, along with visiting Courtney’s family, Joseph started their trip off with a bang. Having fallen asleep in the car during their drive from the east-coast to the west coast of sunny Florida, Courtney was completely surprised to awaken to a group of horses standing in front of their car. Letting Courtney know that they were about to check off her bucket list item of riding horseback in the water – and not only in the water, but on a beach, Courtney was beyond ecstatic to say the least. Joseph then took her hand and told her he had one more surprise. Pulling out a custom engagement ring to fit her grandmother’s wedding ring, Joseph asked for Courtney’s hand in marriage and of course she said, “yes!” Needless to say it was the best moment of their lives – that is until their big day!
