Rebecca and Barry tied the knot during their Lakeside Inn wedding in Mount Dora, Florida. Envisioning a beautiful garden ceremony followed by an evening out in the ballroom with their friends and family, the two truly made the most of their big day!
How They Met
We met in the summer of 1984 when Barry came to Ball State to visit his friend Bob. Bob was dating Rebecca at the time. There were many trips to Ball State, get together’s in Crown Point and Lowell over the next few years. After Bob’s death, Barry still checked in on Rebecca to make sure she was doing ok. Through the years we kept in touch off and on. We finally decided to start getting together on a more regular basis a couple of years ago. But were both determined to just be friends. One thing led to another, and at the encouragement of one of Barry’s friends, we finally admitted what we were both feeling.
The Proposal
July 5, 2019, while having lunch at Lucrezia Italian Ristorante in Crown Point, Barry knocked his menu on the floor. When Rebecca finally turned to see why he was still on the floor (in the nice restaurant) picking up his menu, Barry was on one knee with a ring. He professed his love and she quickly said yes!
