Wedding Lakeside Inn

Tiffany & Patrick’s Lakeside Inn Wedding – Captured by Amanda

Tiffany and Patrick tied the knot at Lakeside Inn in Mount Dora, Florida during their beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony by the lake.  Celebrating afterwards in the ballroom, the two incorporated their family throughout from getting ready to their wedding party.

Wedding Day Vision

We believe our wedding day is a day about celebrating our family. Our children are a huge part of that day. It is really the coming together of two families. Our theme is “Lucky In Love” and our colors are navy blue, blush pink, with accents of gold.

How They Met

We met at Calvary Christian School in Winter Garden, Fl. about 29 years ago.  Patrick was in 7th grade and I was in 9th.  He was in my brother’s class, and since all of middle school and high school were together in one building, we were all friends.  We lost touch after I left my senior year, but would run in to each other from time to time over the years, as both of us stayed around the Winter Garden area.  We each moved out of state for a short time, going in different directions, and then eventually returned home to Winter Garden.  We each got married to other people and had our families and life moved on.  In about 2015 he and I became Facebook friends after running in to each other, after several years, while we were both trick-or-treating with our children.  I had since been through a divorce but he was still with someone.  In July of 2016 I received a message from him that he had gone through a break-up and we began a friendship again.  He finally asked me out on a date in August of 2016 and it has been magic ever since.

What They Love Most About One Another

I still wonder how or why I have been so blessed as to have a man like Patrick in my life.  He is everything I had always needed and wanted in a partner.  He is a wonderful father to his children and, without hesitation, is just as loving and caring to his step-children as well.  He has so many wonderful qualities but the thing I love most about him, is the way that he loves me.  He is the most sweet and caring, attentive, and patient man I have ever known.  He is always more concerned with how I am feeling or how my day is going.  He knows my moods and is there to calm me and help fix whatever needs fixing.  I can depend on him through thick and thin and I am the luckiest girl that he chose me to spend his life with.
There are so many things that I love about Tiffany it’s hard to just pick one, so I’ll name a few.  I love her smile because every time she smiles it takes me back to our younger years and I can still see that beautiful girl I remember from school.  I love her beautiful green eyes, I get lost every time I stare into them, and when I look into them I can see someone so loving and caring.  What I love most about her is how she takes care of me in every way possible.  She is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I love her with all of my heart.
The Proposal
The proposal was perfect.  We had purchased the ring together a couple of months before.  He wanted me to have the ring that I wanted, but I wanted him to give it to me when he was ready and also to surprise me.  Months went by, and nothing.  We had been with family all during the holidays of 2016 and New Year’s was to be the first time we got to go out alone in a while so we planned a special date night for New Year’s Eve.  We decided to redo our first date in downtown Winter Garden.  We got dressed up, I bought a new dress.  We had a wonderful dinner at one of the restaurants on Plant St. and then went to have drinks at some of the bars that we had been to on our first date.  At about 11:50pm he asked if I wanted to go outside of the bar that we were at.  I was confused because it was almost midnight but, I agreed and thought that he just needed some air.  We walked around the large Christmas tree in the square and down to one of the pavilions.  We stopped at one of the pavilions because we heard people outside counting down to midnight.  I was turned away from him, watching the people.  At midnight I turned around to tell him “happy New Year” and he was down on one knee with my ring in his hand.  He said, “Make me the happiest man alive, please, will you marry me?”.  I, of course, was crying and immediately said “yes, of course!” and as he was putting the ring on and we were kissing, fireworks were going off all over the town.  It was beautiful and magical and absolutely perfect.
