Mitzi and Jeriko tied the knot during their Leu Gardens wedding in Winter Park, Floria. An 80+ acre botanical and natural Florida foliage garden, it made for a stunning backdrop for their big day.

A little history and backstory on Mitzi and Jeriko’s love… the two actually met at first at work as colleagues. Becoming fast friends as well, they took their professional relationship to the next level when Jeriko asked Mitzi out on a date in August of 2012.

Realizing the two had found their forever in one another, Jeriko proposed to Mitzi at the Contemporary in Disney during their fireworks show. Recalling that night, Mitzi mentioned that Jeriko even hinted at what was to come when he asked her what the fireworks show was called, which was “Happily Ever After.”

Wedding Day at Leu Gardens

My sweethearts soon planned their big day with the help of Nicole, owner of Nicole Squared Events. Starting off at Mitzi’s hotel, we captured her details before heading off with the group to capture Mitzi getting in her dress at Leu Gardens and Jeriko suiting up at the venue as well. Not long after arriving, it was time to head to their ceremony site to prepare for the procession, which was taking place in the rose garden.

Set among beautiful varieties of roses, Jeriko saw Mitzi for the first time on their wedding day walking down the brick lined walkway. Beautiful cloud coverage made for the perfect light during their ceremony as the two said “I do” and share their first kiss.

Formal portraits followed our ceremony, which included family, our bride’s party, and the bridal party as a whole. We had knocked out the guys group earlier back at the garden cottages, which allowed for more newlywed time for Mitzi and Jeriko. Some of my favorite images were a request from Mitzi of intimate veil shots as it fell over the two of them.

Back inside guests were being rounded up from cocktail hour and into the reception for our reception entrance to begin. Lively intros, followed by a welcome toast, formal dances, dining, and tons of dancing throughout the night made for an incredible reception. Of course, we also loved capturing our sweetheart’s send off as they headed out into the night through guests waiving sparklers up above.
