Orlando Family Reunion

Orlando Family Reunion

The Wesp family met me out at Lake Louisa State Park for their adorable family portrait session.  Mary, the leader of the pack and in charge of wrangling everyone up to meet for photos, planned a beautiful day filled with individual family portraits, group portraits, and couples portraits.

I love how families can come together from across the U.S. to get together annually for their vacation.  Mary explained that, “family reunions are difficult, because we all live so far apart with such busy lives at home.  It’s all about being in one place at the same time.  Especially now that the family has grown with my nieces and nephews, it’s that much more important to get everyone together.”

Togetherness was definitely keep during our session and Mary’s nieces and nephews had be laughing the entire time.  From the boys attempting to hold to their baby cousin for photos to little Valerie smiling as I pretended to use her hairbrush as a microphone, the kids were definitely the spotlight of our session.

Keeping kiddos busy during a big get together is key as well.  From swimming to going to the theme parks, the family has planned out a bunch of activities to make even more memories.

Mary’s key advice when planning your own family reunion would be to delegate tasks among the siblings.  For example, Mary was in charge of family pictures, while her older brother was in charge of finding accommodations.  Each having their own part of the trip to plan makes everyone feel included and takes the stress factor off one person from planning.

Looking forward to seeing this amazing family next year!
