Karly and Aaron tied the knot during their destination wedding at Paradise Cove. Traveling all the way from the United Kingdom, these two hopped, skip, and flew across the Atlantic Ocean with their friends and family for the special occasion.
Just out of a Nicholas Sparks novel, Karly and Aaron were destined to be together since kids. Each of their fathers played a part in bringing them together through playing on the same football team. Bringing their kids to practice, Aaron and Karly met when Karly was 10 and Aaron was 11. They quickly realized that they lived just right around the corner from one another and became the best of friends. Growing up together and maturing into beautiful adults, they realized that their friendship was much deeper and started a relationship together. During each of their father’s toasts, you could feel the love in the room by how proud they were to have each other’s child in their life. A long time coming, these two were truly destined to be together.
Engaged in March of 2015, Aaron knew that his proposal had to include Rose, Karly’s niece who she just adores. While babysitting Rose together, Aaron stepped away for a moment to put out flowers, champagne, and Karly’s favorite cupcake on the table in the kitchen. Walking into the room to see what Aaron was up to, she was surprised to find such a lovely display of all of her favorite things. Of course, the most special trinket on the table was the engagement ring Aaron had purchased for Karly and of which he proposed to her with. Rose being a part of such a monumental moment in their lives made it even that more special.
Laid back and more of go with the flow types, Karly and Aaron envisioned a calm day filled by the love of their closest friends and family who made the journey to Florida to be with them. Of course Karly’s darling niece Rose was included by being the most adorable flower girl. Their Kate Spade inspired wedding theme was filled with touches of gold, soft petal pink, and ivory that complemented perfectly against the tropical floral background of Paradise Cove.
Set on the beach, Aaron surprised guests by arriving in true GQ form as captain of a speed boat that raced up to bring him to shore. One by one, each groomsmen hopped off the boat and lined up to await the girls walking down the aisle. Karly’s sisters Stacey and Abbie were joined by Aaron’s sister Laurel in the bridesmaid party who gracefully walked down aisle in what has to be one of my favorite high fashion bridesmaid style dresses of sheer tulle fabric middy dresses – perfect for Florida heat!
Eyes opened wide when Karly walked down in her Vera Wang gown and her dad’s smile was truly ear to ear. After saying their “I do’s” and sharing a first kiss, we were all off to formal portraits in the shade of the mangroves that lined the property. Little Rose and her brother definitely stole the show for a bit, because everyone wanted to jump in for a quick picture with just the two of them – including Karly and Aaron! After formal portraits, our sweethearts mingled at cocktail hour for a bit before their reception entrance followed by a lovely dinner as officially Mr. and Mrs. Wishing these two a fabulous honeymoon in the Turks and Caicos and safe trip back home!
