Elizabeth and Tim met me out in the heart of Orlando, Florida for their garden engagement at Leu Gardens. The two envisioned a background filled with floral and greenery, and my oh my were we in look with stunning rows upon rows of flowers in bloom.
Growing up together in Merritt Island, Elizabeth and Tim have always known one another from Sunday school his little ones to being in the same classes for both middle and high school. It wasn’t until college though when they both were attending the University of South Florida during Sophomore year that Tim nonchalantly asked Elizabeth if she would like to grab dinner sometime at the local Carrabba’s in town. Unsure if it was a date or just continuing to hang out as friends, Elizabeth took Tim up on the offer and three years later they still look back laughing of the confusion. Of course though it was a date – their first date – and a beautiful one at that, which led to many, many more!
There is just this feeling when you are around Elizabeth and Tim that is hard to explain in words, but I will try. It is like an overwhelming sense of love and how they just get one another without having to say anything. You could feel the love they shared all around you in the air and see it on their faces from the way Tim would look at Elizabeth when she smiled at him to how Elizabeth smiled at him. For my sweethearts, Elizabeth fell in love with how patient and calm TIm is, while Tim fell in love with how down to Earth Elizabeth is, oh and also how funny she is! Truly best friends, they could not imagine their lives without one another.
Ahh the proposal! Tim proposed on December 26th after Christmas. As luck may have it, Elizabeth being a nurse typically does not have the holidays off, but this year she did. Celebrating Christmas with their families in Merritt Island, Elizabeth returned back to Tampa in the morning for work. Tim was adamant though that they would see each other soon and to stay positive through the holidays. Little did Elizabeth know, Tim was not far behind and left shortly after. Hearing a knock on her door after finishing up getting ready for work, Elizabeth was in complete surprise to find – you guessed it – Tim, standing with Carrabba’s in hand, just like their very first date! Completely in shock, Elizabeth was overwhelmed with excitement to see her beau and within just a few steps into her place, Tim knelt down and asked for her hand in marriage. Of course, Elizabeth said, “yes,” and still recalls the moment – well a little blurry, she recalls most of it! – “I was so happy I teared up and could not stop smiling. I had to ask him if I said yes though, because I could not remember – it was all a blur after he asked! Tim remembers being very nervous on the car ride over to Tampa and even more nervous when I wouldn’t pick up the phone since I was getting ready, he was afraid his surprise was too much of a surprise!”
Fun is truly the one word to describe Elizabeth and Tim’s thought of mine when planning for their wedding day and also best piece of advice to other couples planning as well. It is important to enjoy every moment and have fun doing so!
Looking forward to our team capturing Elizabeth and Tim’s big day this July!
