Royal Crest Room Wedding

Shannon and David tied the knot during their Royal Crest Room wedding in St Cloud, Florida. A vivacious couple, they incorporated fun elements throughout their date from having their pup as their ring bearer to passing out dancing props for guests.

It All Began with Black and Gold

We meet at the University of Central Florida in August 2009. David says we met on his apartment move-in day but Shannon doesn’t remember meeting him on that day which was about a week or so before the fall semester started. Shannon remembers meeting him sometime during the first week of the fall semester, but does remember meeting his parents and his uncle on that move-in day.

What They Love Most

Shannon loves the stupid but funny stuff David says–they always make her laugh. For example, the most recent thing he said was that someone was being a “brat with a capital bitch” (pardon my/our french). David loves that Shannon makes him laugh and that road trips and and travelling are always enjoyable despite any stressful moments during the trip. For example: running for the train they were about to miss –very stressful at the time, but looking back still brings back GREAT memories.

A Christmas Eve Proposal

We were engaged on Christmas Eve 2016 in South Florida in front of (almost) all David’s family members. David had posed it as just taking even more pictures in front of the Christmas tree aka the typical Christmas photo. He had asked his uncle for one more picture and that’s when he got down on one knee and turned Shannon to face him. For both of them, time stood still and it was like somehow someone had pushed the mute button in real life. After what probably seemed like an eternity of Shannon staring back and forth between the ring and David, David said those four magical words: “Is that a yes?”. All Shannon could do–other than start crying–was nod her head. Next thing we know, we heard loud, joyous screams and we were essentially tackled by his family members.

Wedding Day Vision

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors and the reception will be indoors. Our colors are silver/grey and Malibu (per David’s Bridal) but it’s like a turquoise. We’re hoping our wedding will be timeless and elegant so much so that years from now others won’t be able to identify in what decade we married. Once all the formalities are done, we want the rest of the reception to be a huge family get together/party.
