Sandpearl Resort Wedding

Heather and Brian tied the knot during their Sandpearl Resort wedding in Clearwater, Florida. A destination wedding, their guests traveled in from all over the US to witness the next chapter in their lives!

Their story first began meeting by chance at the gym when Brian noticed Heather on the treadmill. Catching his eye, he didn’t ask Heather right there and then, but actually when he saw her again at the same bar. Unfortunately the time wasn’t right, but just a few months later the two reconnected over Insta after Brian slid into Heather’s DMs. Meeting up for a brunch date a few days later, Brian and his best man went on a double date with Heather and a girlfriend of hers before a Pittsburgh Penguins game. Well, the date went so well, that Brian’s wingman offered up his Penguins ticket with Brian so that he could bring Heather. Since that brunch, they have been together ever since.

Fast forward to their wedding day, we arrived a bit early we greeted our bride Heather in her hotel room. Heather’s sister Bethany, and MOH, killed it all day by helping us out with grabbing details and a sentimental toast during the reception. Diving in with Heather’s details, I just adore her “Mrs. Bodnar” sun hat that was just oh so perfect for a beach wedding weekend.

After capturing details, and Heather getting in her dress, we headed downstairs to be greeted by the sweetest, snuggly, and wet kisses from Heather’s two pups Bettis and Reagan. A big shout out to FairyTale Pet Care for wrangling these two cuties all day long!

Standing still just long enough for bride’s party portraits, Bettis and Reagan stole the show for a bit with our girls and also our guys! Once finished with Heather’s party’s portraits, we had the girls head back upstairs and brought our guys downstairs to the lobby as well where we had just captured our bride’s group. Hotel rooms, while beautiful for getting ready, aren’t always as spacious as a lobby for a large group of guys to put on their suit jackets. Making the call to have the guys come downstairs for their getting ready time and groom’s party portraits was a great decision since our pups also wanted to be included in photos too.

After capturing Brian and his guys, we headed on out on outside to the beach for Heather and Brian’s ceremony. Taking place oceanside, beach weddings are always just so beautiful to capture between the incredible Florida landscape and of course magical moment we are witnessing as two souls tie the knot.

Formal portraits with the bridal party as a whole and family also took place outside on the beach, before we ventured further down to them water with our newlyweds. One of my favorite images from the night, has to be Heather and Brian at sunset right before we headed back inside for their reception entrance to begin.

Announcements, a first dance, and toasts opened the night to dining and dancing before a sweet send off goodbye took place. Wishing our sweethearts an amazing life together with their two adorable pups!
