Tavares Pavilion Wedding

Kimberly & Brent’s Tavares Pavilion Wedding

Kimberly and Brent tied the knot during their tropical inspired Tavares Pavilion wedding. From stunning wooden staircases built into the architecture of the building to a dreamy bridal suite, the venue was the perfect spot for these two to wed!

Flashback to two years ago, Brent and Kimberly met by chance through the school that they both teach at. New to the school, Brent was required to take part in a technology course for one of his introductory duties taught by… you guessed it, Kimberly! After chatting it up from technology to a more personal level, Brent asked Kimberly out and the rest is history.

Their love for one another grew over the past two years and Brent knew he had found the one. While both very different, Kimberly and Brent love how “each person complements the other in personality.” Of course they also have a mutual passion for adventure as well and exploring the world we live in.

With so much in common, Brent knew the time was right, but wanted to make is special. Pre-planning for Kimberly to leave a little bit early from a debate tournament that she was coaching in the windy city of Chicago, she definitely did not know what was to come on their adventure through downtown! Walking through the winding roads and taking in all that the city had to offer, the two found themselves at the ice skating rink in Millennial Park. Standing tall and sparkling bright, a Christmas tree lit up the front of the rink. Bending down on knee, Brent pulled out a ring that sparkled even brighter and asked for Kimberly’s hand in marriage. She of course said, “yes!”

Their wedding day was also an adventure that felt like a tropical paradise. Kimberly envisioned a “green wedding,” with décor centered around bringing the beautiful outside tropical floral inside. From her bouquet made by her mom to her centerpieces, each floral array felt of tropical beauty.

Our day started off with capturing Kimberly as soon as she arrived for her details and bridal portraits. Mom held back the tears helping her zip up into her dress, while her bridesmaids helped finish setting up the décor. Truly a team effort, everyone spread the love by helping make my darlings’ day perfect.

Brent arrived shortly after to the groom’s room downstairs. Lana, my second shooter, headed down to capture Brent while I finished up with Kimberly. Shortly after it was show time!

Pure radiance, Kimberly walked down on the arm of her father to her fiancé and very soon to be husband. Dad had to hold back the tears as well as he shook Brent’s hand in handing off his daughter. A traditional moment in ceremonies, it is truly one of my favorites. With “I do’s” said and a first kiss shared we circled back to the ceremony area after guests departed for cocktail hour to capture formal portraits.

Let me just tell you that we definitely do not let the rain hold us back! While it was storming outside, we found other beautiful options from the side of the staircase to art-lined walls of the hallway on the side of the ceremony for newlywed portraits – absolutely stunning!

Their reception was a blast and guests danced throughout the night before the two headed off with a bubble send off and my favorite part – a boat ride back to the Lakeside Inn!

Wishing these two a life filled with love and adventure!
