Palmetto Club Wedding

Brittany and Matthew tied the knot during their Palmetto Club at FishHawk Ranch wedding in Lithia, Florida, just outside of Tampa. From the stunningly beautiful sunsetting light during their newlywed portraits, to their garnet and gold color scheme, the day came together perfectly!

How They Met & What They Love Most

Just over eight years ago, Brittany and Matthew met at their place of work. Ironically enough while looking back they both felt that the place they worked was by far one of their worst jobs, it was also one of the best, because fate brought them together. Falling in love with how Brittany encourages him to strive for better, Matthew could not imagine a life without her. For Brittany, Matthew is not only her best friend, but her soul mate.

Wedding Day

Now eight years later, Brittany and Matthew tied the knot at the beautiful Palmetto Club. Our day started off with capturing our bride and groom getting ready. Brittany must get her gorgeous smile and vibrant personality from her grandmother, who truly lit up the room as she helped Brittany get into her dress. While Brittany and her girls finished getting ready, our team headed over to Matthew and his guys who were cheersing to the moment to come. Matthew’s smile was just as big as Brittany’s – you could truly tell how happy and excited they were to finally say, “I do!”

After getting ready, we headed over to their ballroom for their ceremony. The room would be flipped later to also accommodate their reception and in turn keep everyone cool from the Summer heat all night long. Guests piled in and greeted one another with open arms. While their guest count easily exceeded 200+, it felt like everyone belonged to one big family.

During their ceremony, the two lit a unity candle, which symbolized uniting each other as one. Handwritten vows led to a tearful room, of course tears of joy, as Brittany surprised Matthew with translating her vows into his native language. A beautiful moment that was incredible to not only capture in still photography, but also for their video.

As the room was transferring from day to night into the reception after their ceremony, we captured formal portraits against the backdrop of their ceremony site. As beautiful as the Palmetto Club was inside, we just knew even more beauty awaited outside for newlywed portraits. A golden light set behind Brittany and Matthew as we captured beautiful in the moment memories of just the two of them. Brittany and Matthew’s laughter and excitement was absolutely contagious. Gorgeous, bright smiles, and walking hand in hand, the day was truly theirs.

Reception entrance announcements of their bridal party, followed by formal dances was the perfect way to kick off the night. With so many guests coming in from out of town, even out of the country, we followed our couple throughout the night taking guest photos until they ended up on the dance floor. Sharing their last dance with their bridal party, they headed out after for a last kiss goodbye during their sparkler send off!
