Brittany & David's Plaza Resort Wedding

Brittany and David tied the knot during their oceanside ceremony at the beautiful Plaza Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach, Florida. Envisioning old Florida charm combined with pops of purple and Maui blue, the two partied the night away with their friends and family as their vision came to fruition.

Having met six years ago while both servers at Applebees in Lake Mary, Florida, the two had an instant connection. Hanging out in group settings at first after work, they were able to get to know one another on a more personal level. Asking Brittany out an official first date, the two realized that their instant connection was something special.

Falling in love with how David is truly an “all around great guy,” Brittany loves his personality and how caring he is. For David, he knew from the moment he saw Brittany that she was the one, and truly could not hold back the motion during their ceremony in his vows.

Proposing on Christmas Day in 2018, Brittany was completely in shock to when David dropped to one knee during family photos and asked her to marry him. Of course, she said yes and the two began planning their journey too forever.

Fast forward to 2020, Brittany and David tied the knot at the beautiful Plaza Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach. An upbeat city, their venue has an old Florida charm to it like no other with gorgeous columns inside and an oceanside view outside.

Arriving a bit early, we were excited to find the girls ahead of schedule. Grabbing Brittany’s details, we captured each item on a gorgeous white piano backdrop that was situated next to an even more perfect vintage gold mirror. Bridal portraits, father daughter first look, and general getting ready also followed in the same area as it made for a clean and beautiful backdrop. I loved our bride’s party’s upbeat personalities and special shout out to Sam (great name!) for all of her help!

David and his guys soon followed suit for their getting ready as well in the gorgeous downstairs entry area too. Putting on his suit, photos with his groom’s party, and of course a few fun shots by himself made for a great start to our day.

Outside guests were beginning to be seated and with little time to waste we headed out to prepare for our couple’s procession. Trying not to “ugly cry” as David put it, he couldn’t hold back the tears of joy as he saw Brittany walking down the aisle. Their ceremony included personal vows, followed by a gorgeous dip first kiss, and a recession following suit as everyone headed inside for formal portraits.

After formals with our family and bridal party wrapped up, we headed around the immediate ceremony area for newlywed portraits. Later in the evening we would come out again for beachside photos as the sun began to set.

With the dancing hot all night long, we had a blast being a part of all of the fun festivities – especially all three dads living it up on the dance floor. Our beautiful day ended with a sweet send off goodbye downtown the gorgeous corridor where our day had originally began.
