Casa Lantana Wedding
Ashley and Ryan tied the knot at Casa Lantana in Brandon, Florida. The two tied the knot at the historical home underneath a beautiful tree canopy and partied the night away with friends and family outside underneath the twinkling stars.
Welcome to Miami!
It is crazy to think that just a few years ago Ashley and Ryan met by chance online, while both were living in Miami. Talking online for a few weeks, the two hit it off and decided to meet up in Midtown. Chatting for hours on end into the night, the two didn’t even realize that the restaurant was closing up when their first date came to a close. Completely unexpected, the two knew right away that they had found something special.
Over the next few years, the two fell madly in love with one another and Ryan knew it was time to propose. While on mini-getaway beach vacation, the two decided to take a walk on the beach as the sun closed in on the horizon during sunset. As they began walking, Ryan lovingly recounted how amazing their trip was, but that it wasn’t quite over yet. A little confused, Ashley turned to Ryan as he was getting down on one knee. Asking her to marry him, Ashley of course said, “yes!” An intimate proposal beachside, it was nothing but perfect!
Wedding Day at Casa Lantana
Fast forward to their wedding day, I had been looking forward to seeing Ashley and Ryan again since it had been a few months since their engagement. The two just have a natural chemistry that is so beautiful to photograph.
Walking in to Casa Lantana a bit early, Ashley greeted us with the most gorgeous smile that lit up the room. Hair and makeup already completed by Erikajoy, Ashley looked stunning! With her girls wrapping up hair and makeup as well, we jumped into action to photograph all of Ashley’s details – which I must say I LOVED her heirloom bracelet. A bit ahead of schedule, we headed over to Ryan, who was getting ready in the back billiard’s room.
Trying out some different lighting made for dramatic groom’s portraits, and of course Ryan totally fits the part. He looked as handsome as ever suited up and could not wait to see Ashley walking down the aisle. With the guys wrapped up, we let them wind down before the ceremony leaving them to enjoy their lunch.
Ashley’s dress literally felt like it was made just for her. A vibrant sequin pattern and ballgown tulle frame felt just like her vibrant and elegant style. Getting in her dress, both her mom and step-mom helped button her up with details placed on by her bridesmaids. With guests starting to arrive, we were off to the ceremony to prepare for the processional.
Let me just tell you that walking up to the tree canopy at Casa Lantana is insanely gorgeous. The light trickles down at the beginning of the aisle, slowly falling away throughout the night. One of the most emotional and beautiful moments of Ryan and Ashley’s wedding by far was the blessing of the rings. Passing their wedding bands to their bridal party and immediate family, the rings were asked by the couple of their closest ones to be either blessed or just a little love sent their way. You could really feel in the air how much everyone cared about my couple.
Formal portraits took place underneath the gorgeous tree canopy, along with taking our bridal party to the market light lined driveway. Venturing around the venue for newlywed portraits, we ended at the sweet swing that is graced by a gorgeous yellow sunset in the backdrop.
Reception entrances began shortly after formal portraits with our couple leading into their first dance. A sparkler send off goodbye ended the night, and of course a big “congratulations” and hug with our couple before they headed off as officially Mr. and Mrs.!
Wishing these two a beautiful life together, filled with the same amazing conversation and connection they had since the first night they met.
