Ever After Farms Blueberry Barn Wedding
My sweet couple Lauren and Stephen tied the knot during their Ever After Farms Blueberry Barn wedding in Mims, Florida. Envisioning boho elegance, the two had touches of macrame, the color of amethyst found in floral throughout and the bride’s party’s dresses, and soft candlelit tables.
Growing up in a small town…
Growing up in a small town, Lauren and Stephen became friends as children by way of Lauren’s brother Shaun. As the years past and the two became young adults, they noticed one another in a new light for the first time in 2009. Realizing they had deeper feelings for one another, the two began dating and ten years later Stephen proposed on Christmas morning, which of course Lauren said, “yes!”
Wedding Day at Ever After Farms Blueberry Barn
Their wedding day at Ever After Farms felt like a dream. Arriving a bit early, we were greeted by Lauren’s floral team, Violets in Bloom, who were setting up the final details on our couple’s tables and arch. I just love the hues of roses Lauren picked.
After Lauren and her girls arrived at the venue, we jumped into capturing our bride’s details. With a larger bride’s party group, we took the girls outside for their getting ready time. While I love the traditional floral silk robes we typically see at weddings, Lauren’s choice of pajamas for her girls were just too cute for words. After a few getting ready and cheersing shots, the girls headed back inside the bridal suite to change, while we pulled our groom’s party outside for their getting ready as well.
Stephen and his guys had me cracking up as they attempted to YouTube movies for tying ties, and I am now officially a tie tying expert! Capturing a few cheersing shots as well, we soon moved to behind the stunning oak tree for our groom’s party portraits. After hiding the guys back inside, we brought Lauren and her bride’s party out again for their final touches of putting on the dress and formals at the backside of the oak tree as well. Knocking out formal portraits beforehand allowed for more newlywed time during the formal portrait hour after the ceremony.
Ever After Farms Wedding Ceremony
As guests began to arrive, we quickly hid Lauren back inside. One of my favorite moments of the day came during a impromptu father daughter first look, where it was hard for both Lauren and her father to hold back the tears.
Walking down the aisle, guests were absolutely enamored by Lauren in her gorgeous gown. Truly one of the first boho wedding dresses we have had, I absolutely adored the style. After sharing vows and a first kiss, the two were officially wed!
With a brighter day upon us, we asked guests to head into cocktail hour to be able to capture our bridal party and family portraits behind the gorgeous oak tree so that the sun was behind our group. I must say that wrangling the largest group came with ease as their entire family was so excited to be a part of the picture process. After family portraits were done, we moved on to bridal portraits, and finally my favorite – newlywed portraits! With the amber sun setting quickly, we captured beautiful shots by the ceremony site against the ivy growing on each wooden pillar to the front of the barn.
Ever After Farms Wedding Reception
Back inside, reception entrances soon began, along with formal dances, dining, toasts, and cake cutting. A surprise to Stephen, Lauren had a birthday cake brought out, along with guests thoroughly enjoying singing happy birthday to him. Our night ended with a solo last dance for the couple, directed by Our DJ Rocks, and finally a sparkler send off.
