Janaki and Jimmy tied the knot at the luxurious Hyatt Regency Orlando this past month. Their wedding was truly as beautiful as the love they share for one another and their family. Our day started off with our bride to be getting ready in a bridal suite with her friends who were helping with hair and makeup. Janaki’s lace dress from Minerva’s Bridal was truly stunningly elegant and beautiful paired with a diamond encrusted headpiece and pearl earrings. While the girls were getting ready in the bridal suite, the guys were in a nearby groom’s suite suiting up. Jimmy and his groomsmen were such a blast to capture. Three of his groomsmen were his sons and Jimmy really wanted everyone to just enjoy the day. Funny photos were a must and with time available before the ceremony, we captured the group doing their best Austin Powers reenactment (idea courtesy of his youngest son) and of course their best James Bond impressions.
Their ceremony was intimate and inviting as guests sat together along a long aisle way leading to two flower pieces on pillars that centered where they would be saying their “I do’s.” True to their silliness, the candle ceremony didn’t go quite as planned with the candles refusing to go back into the candle sticks, however Jimmy’s sons quick on their feet decided to hold the candles, which had guests and our about to be newlyweds giggling for the last half of the ceremony. It was the perfect complement to keeping their ceremony light hearted and fun. One of my favorite aspects of their wedding celebration, was that Janaki’s close friend Joyce Acosta actually went through the process of becoming an officiant just for Janaki and Jimmy. It was truly personal and endearing.
I love how their intimate ceremony was the perfect reflection of the two. Jimmy actually proposed to Janaki while they were enjoying a pool side date. It is the little moments of being with one another, while doing what you enjoy together that mean the most.
After their ceremony, we headed to the lobby to grab some requested shots of the two under the luxurious chandeliers at the hotel. My second shooter Colleen helped move guests to the side so we that we could make a busy lobby look like it was made for just the two. Our newlywed portraits ended with a few fun shots in the foyer leading to their reception before we headed inside to get ready for their reception entrance and to capturing the décor provided by RJ Glamour. My oh my did RJ Glamour go all out from the floral to design of each and every table!
Let me just tell you, I was also over the moon when I found out curry would be served for dinner – curry to me is like tacos to most. From fabulous food to wonderful music provided by White Rose Entertainment, guests had an incredible night dancing with our newlyweds and taking tons of selfies! The enthusiasm was uplifting and incredible as family even flew in all the way from India.
Wishing my sweethearts and their incredible family a beautiful life together!
