The Watson family invited me out to their home to capture their gorgeous family portraits. Thanksgiving was the perfect time of year, as their three children traveled in with their families to celebrate.
The holiday time is a special time for so many families. For the Watsons’ their holiday motto is “Faith, Family & Friends” as Sherre explains. Spending time together with their family and friends who have essentially become their family is truly the best part of season.
During the holidays, family traditions include decorating for Christmas, attending children’s programs at school and church, taking pictures with Santa, shopping for drawn names from The Angel Tree, and of course watching a few tearjerker Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel.
An additional special family tradition includes eating chicken and dumplings on Christmas Eve before attending church, opening family given gifts after church, and of course seeing what Santa brought everyone Christmas morning. As Sherre explains, these three moments each year have “been a longtime treasured tradition for our family.”
