Rollins College Engagement
Kelsey and David me me out at their alma mater, Rollins College, for their gorgeous engagement session. The college has not only been an integral part of their education, but will also set the scene for their wedding this coming January!
A smaller school, the two had scene one another around the campus periodically along with crossing paths during training since they were both students athletes. However, it wasn’t until David messaged Kelsey on Instagram with a screenshot of an empty phone contact asking for help filling it in. His pickup line, or well message, totally worked which opened the door to conversation and officially acting in January of 2016.
Falling in love with one another came naturally. David loves how caring of a person Kelsey is, and explained that he appreciates “how she is always encouraging me to be my best self and how I can count on her to brighten my day and make me laugh.” For Kelsey, she fell in love with how David challenges her through pushing her out of her “comfort zone” to try new things. As Kelsey explains, “we go on so many fun adventures and we are always laughing the we are together. He knows how to cheer me up and when to pour me a glass of wine after a long day.”
Knowing he had found the one, David proposed to Kelsey on Christmas Eve white listing her parents in New Jersey for the holidays. Attending Kelsey’s parents’ annual Christmas party, David pulled her aside before the festivities began to give her an early Christmas present. Taking out the box he had for her, she found an ornament inside that read, “he asked will you marry me in 2019” and promptly got down on one knee and proposed. Of course Kelsey said “yes!” and was overjoyed to be celebrating their engagement with her family!
