Timacuan Golf and Country Club weddings are absolutely stunning overlooking the golf course and yellow sun coming through the oaks cascading upon the veranda. Brittany and Jason truly shined as the two read their vows to one another and made it official by saying, “I do” to one another.
Brittany and Jason’s story first begins on Match.com where the two connected with one another online. Online dating has definitely become a great resource for finding ‘the one,’ which you may never meet otherwise. By chance Jason found Brittany’s profile and after chatting it up online the two agreed to meet in person for their first in-person date at Lake Eola.
A sentimental location, Baldwin Park and Lake Eola also set the backdrop for their engagement where thee two had their first date. It was clear as day photographing these two during their engagement that they were a match made in heaven. Brittany, a nurse, and Jason, a firefighter, the two have a mutual love and passion for helping others. When it comes down to it though, there similarities have really formed the building blocks for their relationship to grow upon. From traveling to trying out new restaurants, the two are always down for an adventure as long as it is together.
Jason truly planned out an adventurous proposal to say the least. During their trip with his family to Italy, the group headed out on gondola rides along the river in Venice. The scenery was beautiful, the moment was right, and right after the Bridge of Sighs, Jason proposed to the love of his life. Brittany, through the tears of joy, managed to scream “yes!” As legend describes it, “lovers will be granted eternal love and bliss if they kiss under the Bridge of Sighs.” I believe saying “yes” is even more monumental, the moments legends are made of.
Fast forward to their wedding day, it was nothing short of legendary. While our groomsmen were playing poker in the men’s locker room, we started off with our gorgeous bride. Brittany was radiating with happiness, which clearly shows in every image. After capturing the details and a few robe shots, we headed over to our groom while Brittany changed into her dress.
Jason was looking rather dapper in his suit and tie with his groomsmen playing poker. Suiting up and heading out, we went back to the bridal suit to capture Brittany putting on her dress. After a little assistance with the lace back tie up, which I might add can be rather difficult, we took the time for bridal portraits and one of my favorite moments of the day, a father daughter first look. Tears flooded the room as Brittany’s dad entered to find his little girl all grown up. An emotional time, we knew that the tears of joy and happiness were about to pour out even more as we headed up to the ceremony.
A wedding arch graced the front of the aisle that Jason stood under while waiting for his bride. Brittany couldn’t help but cry happy tears as she came down the aisle. I must say that their guests were also crying with excitement and joy to witness the two tie the knot. An emotional ceremony, the vows each other read to one another captured their closeness and how similar they are through mentioning the same things they love about one another… right down to their love for their Golden Retriever Austin.
With vows said and a first kiss sealing the deal, we headed inside for guests to clear out to cocktail hour, and back out for formal portraits as the sun was setting. I must say that we were cracking up with how ‘GQ’ our handsome groom and his groomsmen were taking different stances for their formal portraits, but Brittany and her bridesmaids took up all the beauty. After formal portraits with their family and wedding party, we headed downstairs with our newlyweds for hazy, yellow, glowing sunset portraits at dusk.
After newlywed portraits, we headed back up to the ballroom for announcements and first dances. Touches of gold, navy, and pink floral came together to create a dramatic reception look. As Brittany describes it, “I love Timacuan, because it has aa sense of elegance with a little bit of rustic with the tall wooden ceiling beams.” Of and of course the massive and elegant chandeliers!
DJ Live Productions played the latest hits while guests partied the night away dancing, drinking, and having an absolute blast. Our night ended with a sweet sparkler send off as the two headed off to their honeymoon in paradise at El Dorado Casitas Royale in Mexico!
