Zota Beach Resort Wedding
Kesley and Scott tied the knot along the Florida West Coast during their beautiful Zota Beach Resort wedding in St Pete. The two had a beautiful wedding day vision that focused on spending time with friends and family, which they made sure happened!
How They Met
My couple’s story began back in June of 2015. The two met over drinks at a local tiki bar called the Getaway in St Petersburg, Florida. Kesley’s vivacious demeanor caught Scott’s eye and the two connected right away. Exchanging numbers, they kept in touch and it wasn’t long until they were officially dating.
The Proposal
Over the next two years, they would travel and grow as a couple. Scott realized he had found ‘the one’ and started planning his proposal to Kesley. The right time came to pop the question when they were on a ten day backpacking trip through Europe. The day was September 24th of 2017 – while visiting the Piazzale Michaelangelo, which had a stunning view of all of Florence, Italy, Scott asked Kesley if she would marry him – and she of course said, “yes!” The following days were spent drinking tons of amazing wine, eating an abundance of delicious food, and most importantly celebrating their engagement!
Wedding Day
Their wedding day was just as much of a celebration too. Starting off with our bride, Kesley was beyond prepared for our arrival. Shoes, details, and rings, were all ready to photograph, along with her gorgeous gown. I loved the delicacy in her wedding dress – perfect for an airy beach wedding. While Kesley was zipping up, Scott was suiting up with his guys. Bringing our groom’s party downstairs to the lobby for a little more room, Scott and his guys toasted to the excitement to come.
Along the beautiful beach, guests were welcomed by the sun shining down and the waves rolling in. Walking down the beach aisle, pure joy lit across Scott’s face seeing Kesley for the first time. Exchanging vows and a first kiss, the two tied the knot and officially became Mr. and Mrs.
Capturing formal portraits along the sandy shore, we enjoyed the beach for sometime before heading into their reception. A twist on tradition, Kesley and Scott invited all couples to join them for their first dance. I must say that I was blown away by the Matt Winter Band who had guests dancing all night long with live music. Our night ended with a last dance and hugs goodbye before heading out.
Wishing Kesley and Scott a continued amazing adventure through life together!
